Mike has more than two decades of private equity, operating, and board-level experience with entrepreneurial, founder-led lower-middle-market businesses.
Prior to co-founding ValuePath Capital, Mike was an Operating Partner at Aspect Investors, where he was the lead partner on twelve completed transactions and served on the boards of Energy Ogre, AdComp Systems, Out of the Box, and Emission & Cooling Solutions. Before Aspect, Mike was Chief Financial Officer of Athos Group, a private equity-backed, technology-enabled services and software company serving the off-duty police officer market. Prior to Athos, he was Managing Director of Acquisitions at Arcis Golf, the second-largest owner and operator of private and daily-fee golf clubs in the United States.
Earlier in his career, Mike held senior investment roles at Hudson Way Capital Management and Cox Partners, Inc. He also held investment roles at Austin Ventures, American Capital, and Hunt Private Equity. He began his career in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs.
Mike earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BBA in Finance and Business Honors from the University of Texas at Austin.

Mike is a seasoned operational and strategic advisor with over 25 years of experience transforming businesses across their most critical inflection points — from high-growth expansion to complex restructuring and M&A. His hands-on experience comes from interim management of companies and as a private equity operating partner driving value across business functions and industries.
Prior to co-founding ValuePath Capital, Mike founded Avixa Advisors, a business strategy and operational improvement firm that harnesses AI and data capabilities to transform companies. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at top-tier advisory firms such as AlixPartners and Arthur Andersen.
Mike earned an MS in IT & Management and a BBA in Finance & Business Honors from the University of Texas.
